We have so much to share this month. We're excited to announce TWO new races, and a few other things that make our races easier to attend.

New Youth Triathlon: SuperKids Tri! 

We’re thrilled to announce the SuperKids Tri, a brand new youth triathlon designed to give young athletes of all abilities their very first taste of multisport fun! Happening Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the François Dupuis Recreation Centre in Ottawa, this event is all about confidence, thrills, and smiles - not just finish times.

Whether your kid is a swimmer, biker, or budding runner, the course offers:

• A comfortable indoor pool swim to ease nerves

• Closed bike and run courses for a safe and supportive race environment

• Cheer zones and parent support in transitions to keep the energy high!

Parents can help with transitions, and every participant walks away with memories (and a medal!) to be proud of. Spots are limited and this one’s going to fill up fast!

Did You Know? The KTown Tri Olympic Triathlon starts at 10am 

Who wouldn’t want to turn race day into a full weekend getaway? If that’s not in the cards for you, the KTown Olympic Triathlon might be the perfect fit.

With a 10:00am start, you can roll in from Ottawa or Toronto the morning of the race and still be home before dinner (Toronto travel time… never guaranteed).

Just 2 hours from Ottawa and 3 hours from Toronto, this later start time is proving to be a big hit.

And don’t forget about our Enduro Tri! If you’re up for an 8:00am Sprint Triathlon, you can double down with the 10:00am Olympic Triathlon and earn the coveted title of Enduro Triathlete.

Meech Lake Waitlist

Forget race day, the real race is signing up for the Meech Lake Tri before it sells out! 

Last year, it filled up in just 4 weeks, and that window is getting shorter every single year.

If you miss your chance to register, email Adam@Somersault.ca to get on the waitlist. We’ll also make sure you’re the first to know when 2027 registration opens, so you don’t miss out again.

Somersault's First Ultra Marathon

Our 2027 Embrace Winter Run will feature a 6 Hour Ultra Marathon! 

Do as many laps as you can in 6 hours. Completing 8 loops is a full marathon, but we're curious to see how far people will go. 

We'll have more info on this event as we get closer, but if you're into endurance sports and want the added challenge of running in the middle of winter (in Ottawa, no less!), then this might be a perfect match.
