Hi Everyone!

Winterman Report
Along with our event partner Search & Rescue Global 1, we were pleased to host 1400 participants at the 2011 Winterman 3Km, 5Km, 10Km, Half Marathon, and Marathon Runs, held on a dry road, in chilly weather at the Canadian War Museum, on February 20th. By all accounts participants enjoyed the event, and were certainly startled by the “starting gun” provided by the Canadian Armed Forces J. Check out the results at: www.somersault.ca/resultsrun.htm, and the photos www.zoomphoto.ca

Congratulations to the many new record holders, and to each participant on their own personal performance. Thanks to all who participated and supporting Search & Rescue Global 1! We hope to see you and your friends again on February 19, 2012, for Winterman III.

The CC allows those who participate in 3 or more Somersault events to compare themselves to others in their age, gender, or weight category, for year end awards and bragging rights. A home or school based running program leading up to the Wylie Ryan Mothers Day 1Km www.somersault.ca/eventaustinwylie.htm, may be just the thing to get your kids involved, and allow them to complete a Half Marathon over the 1 month period leading up to Mothers Day. RUN4FUN event at your Children’s School

It is held at the school, usually during the school day, and it encourages teachers, parents, caregivers, older siblings, and neighbours to join in and participate. RUN4FUN is a true school community event that can benefit a school, its students, teachers, and families in many ways. The “4” stands for Fun, Family, Friends, and Funds.
