Record Number of Early Season Entrants
February 28th has come and gone, and so has our early season discounted entry fee program. The good news is that we have a record numbers of entrants in both eastern triathlon series (ets) and ottawa run series (ors) events. You will have lots of company when you participate with us in 2007. Thanks to all of you who took advantage of our discounts, and good luck in your training for the events.
Club Entry Fee Discount Program
Although individuals can no longer access entry fee discounts, members of organized clubs, training groups, or fitness centres, can still receive a 10% discount if your group signs up for the club member discount program. Check it out at http://www.somersault.ca/clubentry.htm.
Champions Challenge
This is a reminder to those of you who enter more than one Somersault event during the season, that we have introduced the Champions Challenge (CC) in 2007. We are excited about the new Performance Certificate Program we are introducing in 2007. After each Somersault event, every finisher will be able to access and print out a classy certificate of their race performance, as a souvenir.

New Events
We plan continue to add new events to our Somersault event program. If you have an event that would like to become part of the Somersault eastern triathlon series, or the ottawa run series, call terry@somersault.ca to discuss your interest. We have already added five new events in 2007, and are looking for more. Of interest to many will be our two latest additions:
Smiths Falls Figure Eight 5Km Run http://www.somersault.ca/eventsmithsfallsclassicrun.htm
Brockville Downtown 5Km Run

Event Changes
Please not the following changes in the 2007event program:
Smiths Falls Classic Triathlon & Duathlon
We have a new bike course. The course is now a beautiful 26Km loop, replacing the former 20Km out and back version. We believe the new course is safer, challenging, and more scenic.
Canadian 5Km Run
We have moved this event to Saturday morning, September 1, from its original date, of the evening of August 31.
Workers and Volunteers
It is the season to recruit Somersault Race Crew members, so we are sending out a call for interested applicants. We are looking for candidates who can attend each event, who want to work hard, and who can bring leadership to the swim, the bike, the run, and the t-zone event areas. Contact terry@somersault.ca for an interview, if you are interested.
