25th Annual National Capital Triathlon & Duathlon Success:
Somersault is pleased to announce the success of the 2006 National Capital event. With perfect race day weather, we enjoyed record numbers for the new Mooney's Bay version of the National Capital - with 529 participants coming out to participate this year! Congratulations go out to all participants and to our Couples Challenge and event winners. We would like to extend a very sincere thank you to all of the volunteers and sponsors for making this event a success.
We would also like to thank those of you who took the time to share your stories with us for our National Capital Contest. Reading about your personal experiences and the challenges you have faced brings reality to the event – it reminds us that everyone has their own reason to participate. We would like to congratulate our winner, ‘Willy’, who’s touching story of the ‘heart’ – literally – took the prize! You can read Willy’s story on our web site at: http://www.somersault.ca/eventnationalcapitalcontest.htm
Willy’s story is proof that if you take on a personal challenge and make it your goal, you can accomplish anything. His determination and dedication to completing the race is truly inspiring. Willy has earned a free race entry for sharing his story with us… and for completing the race this past Saturday! Congratulations Willy!
