Invite your friends to Eastern Ontario, for 15 Event Days, and 123 Races
Look for the Somersault Event Series Advertisement in the April issue of iRun Magazine, and send it to friends who you may want to invite to Eastern Ontario for an event weekend. You can view and download the Ad at http://www.somersault.ca/somersault_iRun_11.pdf.
The Somersault Event Series is Eastern Ontario's largest event series. It features 15 Event Days, and 123 different Triathlon, Duathlon, SwimCycle, Swim, and Running Races to choose from - at distances from the 1Km Kids Runs, to the Iron 226 Triathlon & Duathlon. There is a race for everyone, in the Somersault Event Series.
Race Crew Worker Openings
Somersault Event growth, and the loss of a few key Race Crew members, has resulted in several Somersault Race Crew openings this event season. Race Crew members work a full event weekend, and have to be available on all or most Somersault event weekends. In some cases crew members are involved in pre-event preparation in the days ahead of the event. If you know of someone who might be interested, please have them send a résumé and a letter of interest to Terry McKinty at terry@somersault.ca to discuss these opportunities.
Although experience in event day delivery is not a requirement, we are looking for mature hard working adults, or college or university students, who can handle the non-traditional and unforgiving event weekend work environment. In particular we are searching for a couple of Race Crew members, who would be able to manage the event site, and set up and supervise run courses.
Sponsorship Opportunities
There are sponsorship opportunities available at many levels, in the Somersault Event Series, and in individual Somersault Events. Companies that wish to associate with the active, healthy, family audience which comprises the 12,000 people who will participate in Somersault events this year. Due to the length of the Somersault event season, sponsorship visibility is spread out over an 8 month period, and not just for one weekend. If you would like to reach the Ottawa, National Capital, and Eastern Ontario healthy active adult and family markets, and would like more information on how the Somersault Event Series can help you achieve that, please call Terry McKinty, at terry@somersault.ca.

Coaches, Trainers, and Clubs
The Somersault Event Series provides event participation opportunities for people of all ages and stages, but it does not offer coaching or training advice, other than the event preparation tips found on its web site at www.somersault.ca. We do offer coaches, clubs, and trainers the opportunity to list their services with us on that site. You can find a list of those who have asked to be advertised on our site at http://www.somersault.ca/clubsandcoaches.htm. We are not involved with nor do we promote, or have any business relationship with these organizations. They are listed at their request, as a courtesy to those participants, or potential participants, who may be looking for such services.
In addition, and on request in return for soft support, we do include in our monthly newsletter, short posts from coaches, trainers, and clubs, promoting their coaching and training services. If you would like to take advantage of this service (as the two posts below have), please contact Terry McKinty, at terry@somersault.ca to discuss things.

KZ Run for Maisy and Shannon
We don't normally promote events in which we are not involved, but are making an exception for the above run on June 19th in Kitigan Zibi, Quebec - about 1 1/2 hours North of Ottawa. The Run is being held to raise awareness and award money for two missing young girls there. Their names are Maisy and Shannon, and you can find information on this sad and mysterious missing persons case at http://www.findmaisyandshannon.com. We note that our partners at Search and Rescue Global 1 have been, and are involved in the search for the girls. Hopefully the run will generate more support in these efforts. Good luck to everyone involved in the efforts to find Maisy and Shannon.
Cheers!
Terry and Christine
