750M, and 1500M Swim
The swims are in the St. Lawrence River. Both swims begin at the Boat Ramp adjacent to the T-Zone with an open water start. The swim course is a triangle of 750M, which the Olympic Triathlon participants swim twice. The swimmers start heading South West from the shore, and make a turn to the North East. They swim North East and then turn North West to swim to the exit ramp.

The 1500M swimmers repeat this course a second time and then exit at the ramp. The ramp is a concrete bottomed boat ramp that allows participants to walk out of the water. Although the we have made our best efforts to pressure wash the ramp, it may be slippery, so use caution when exiting. The T-Zone is 5M from the ramp.

Swimmers exit the water between the 2 green 'Nineteen' buoys.

200M Swim
The 200M swim is on a triangle course near shore. It heads South West from the boat ramp, along the shore, circles around a buoy, heads North East, circles a second buoy, and then returns to the boat ramp exit. Swimmers exit the water between the 2 green 'Nineteen' buoys.

Water temperature is usually 23 degrees Celsius in August. Decisions on the number and order of the waves will be made on race morning. Triathlon start times may be 5 minutes later than advertised for wave starts in some races.

20.7Km Cycle Course
Click Here for the bike Map!
The 20.7Km cycle is an out and back course which begins at the exit to the Transition Zone adjacent to the Brockville Rowing Club on Water St. East and Market St. East. Cyclists exit the Transition Zone onto Water St. which is closed to all but local traffic during the event (first and last 500M). They head East on Water St. to Ford St. where they turn left and go up a short steep hill to King St. They turn right onto King St. East (Highway 2), and proceed to the turn around point on Highway 2. They return by the same route to the T-Zone.

40.2Km Cycle Course
The 40.2Km cyclists do the same first loop as the 20.7Km cyclists, and then they repeat the King St. (Highway 2) portion of the course. At the end of the first loop, they turn at the corner of King St. and Ford St. and repeat the first loop from there, returning to the T-Zone at the end of the second loop.

Nature of the Cycle Course
The cycle is a very gently rolling course on a good quality paved highway (shared with motor vehicleswith paved shoulders most of the way. The route is not closed to traffic except for the 1st and last 500M. There are difficult 90 degree corners on Ford St., at King St. and Water St. Due to the nature of the course and unpredictability of in town motor vehicle traffic, you must not use your aero bars until/unless you are East of the intersection of North Augusta, and King St. This section is controlled by marshals and police, but cyclists should proceed with caution and use of your aero bars usually results in disqualification on this section of the course.
